Savanna Pod | Prefab Tiny Home for Your Backyard

The Savanna Pod is a fully built 6 metre prefab pod home. The kitchen, bathroom, insulation, double glazing and wiring are all done before it arrives. Use it as guest accommodation, a home office or studio, a teenage retreat, or extra living space for family.

Why the Savanna Pod

  • Arrives finished: fitted kitchen and bathroom, flooring, cabinetry and wall panels in your chosen colours.
  • Insulated and double glazed: steel sandwich panel walls and double-glazed windows with fly screens for year-round comfort.
  • Air conditioning ready: pre-wired for a split system, so a local installer can fit the unit of your choice.
  • Light steel frame: durable, low-maintenance construction.
  • Your finishes: choose wall panels, cabinetry and flooring, and we send a rendered preview before production starts.

Approvals: what you need to know

Most of our customers set the Savanna Pod up on a registered trailer (sold separately), which means it's treated as a tiny home on wheels rather than a building. There's no building permit or engineering certification involved. Instead, you apply to your local council for a temporary accommodation approval, which can be granted for up to two years at a time and renewed.

The Savanna Pod is not certified to the National Construction Code (NCC), so it isn't suited to being fixed permanently to the ground as a dwelling without further works and certification.

Connection to your property's power and water must be done by a licensed electrician and plumber.

Any approvals for your site are your responsibility as the owner, so we always suggest a quick chat with your council about your plans. We can provide the specs, photos and test reports your council will ask for.
